Aluminium job losses a blow to manufacturing in the Hunter - 12 January 2012
The Australian Workers' Union (AWU) has renewed concerns for local manufacturing after yesterday's announcements by Hydro Aluminium to curtail production at their Kurri Kurri smelter and Tomago Aluminium looking to restructure - with an estimated 250 jobs to go in in the Hunter Region.

AWU shames Schenck for locking out workers at Christmas - 22 December 2012
Schenck Process' Thornton will lockout 18 workers this Christmas and New Year, in a heavy handed reaction to the workers participating in a two hour work stoppage meeting today.
